Well it’s been a busy week, starting with a trip to London and ending with T’s 3rd birthday party all with plenty of PJ Masks fun in between.
If you’ve haven’t heard of PJ Masks they go into the night, so they can save the day. The PJ Masks are made up of Gekko, Catboy and Owlette and each night they save day in their PJ’s. Your little ones can watch episodes on Disney Junior or Tiny Pop and now on DVD.
On Tuesday, we were invited to a PJ Masks Half Term Halloween party at the Picturehouse Central, Piccadilly, London. We caught the tube in to London and the boys were very excited; L was dressed in blue like Catboy and T was dressed in green like Gekko.
It was a fantastic event with lots of PJ Masks activities. L enjoyed boogieing along to the PJ Masks theme with diddi dance for the PJ Masks Super Dance Party (https://www.diddidance.com/pj-masks-super-dance-party/). diddi dance is holding PJ Masks Super Dance Parties in their classes from Monday 30th October to Sunday 5th November to raise funds for the Youth Sport Trust.
After the diddi dance there was a fantastic surprise; Gekko, Catboy and Owlette arrived and spent some time with all the children at the party. Both L and T were excited, but T was thrilled to meet Gekko and gave him lots of high-fives.
There was also lots of other activities including face painting, colouring and the new PJ Masks Headquarters Playset and other toys to play with.
The event culminated in a screening of 2 episodes of PJ Masks and a sneak peak of PJ Masks series 2 including some new heroes and villains. Both T and L enjoyed watching PJ Masks on the big screen and T was singing along to theme tune in his loudest voice. The boys were lucky to get a fantastic goodie bag at the end of the event filled with lots of amazing PJ Masks treats. It included a jigsaw, magazine and the new PJ Masks DVD ‘Time to be a Hero’ plus many more toys and items.
Finally, the week culminated in T’s 3rd birthday party with all his friends. He wore his Gekko outfit which he got for his birthday and had his face painted again. He had a Gekko mask painted on, so he didn’t have to keep his actual mask on. He had a PJ Masks cake and received lots of PJ Masks presents, it’s a good job he loves PJ Masks
If you want to grab the PJ Masks DVD it’s out now and you can get it from Amazon.

Autumn is a great time of year, yes it gets wetter and colder but the autumnal colours are amazing and you know it’s getting closer to Christmas (and who doesn’t love Christmas). Here are a few activities you can do with the kids this Autumn to get them in the mood for the season of red, orange and yellow.
Autumn Collage Use the fantastic autumnal colours to create a wonderful collage. Collect some leaves and let them dry out. Once dry you can either stick them straight on to paper or if your kids are a bit older then maybe get them to cut the leaves in to smaller pieces to create a more detailed collage picture.
Paint a Tree
You can do this activity straight on paper, card or a canvas, but it is going to be messy. First you need to get your child to make a brown paint hand print and a bit of their wrist. This gives the impression of a bare tree. The next step is use finger painting to show the leaves in red, orange and yellow. We’ve been baking again, this time we followed the Sunny Carrot Cake recipe. Our eldest wanted to try another recipe from ‘I Can Cook’, we just substituted the walnuts for raisins. This was a lovely cake, very soft and we all wanted more after our first bite.
Next week is half term in Telford and Shrewsbury, here are few ideas to keep you and your little ones busy. Whether it is watching a show or riding a toboggan there are lots of family friendly activities available in the local area.
As a family treat Grandma and Grandad Bickham decided to take us all to Chill Factore’s Santa’s Snow Kingdom. It was a lovely day and we all had lots of fun in the snow. Chill Factore is in Manchester near the Trafford Centre, it’s an indoor snow slope with lots of activities to choose from.
We arrived a little early so decided to grab a hot a drink and some breakfast in the Wetherspoons’ Castle in the Air. The free parking was starting to get busy, but we managed to find a spot just around the side of the entrance.
