With the release of the 'Justice League' film, I thought I would go with a superhero theme for this week's Movie Music Monday track. So I've chosen the iconic Superman Main Theme by John Williams. It's a classic movie theme and instantly recognisable.
The music for the original Superman film was composed and conducted by John Williams and performed by the London Symphony Orchestra. John Williams is a classic movie theme composer and I'm sure we'll be seeing some more of his tracks in the Movie Music Monday playlist in the future.
For many the 1970's and 1980's Superman films were classics and the theme music brings back those memories of running around the school playground with your coat buttoned around your neck to create a makeshift cape humming the theme tune. Check it out below.
Hope you love this classic movie music. If you've got a favourite movie theme then let me know in the comments.

It's a classic theme tune for sure and I totally did that with my coat in the playground! I also made sure I had the Superman curl on my forehead - one must take things like this seriously!

A classic boyhood memory for many, arm held out pretending to fly across the skies of Metropolis ?

It’s such an iconic piece of music. Despite hearing pretty grim things about the new Justice League I’m off to see it on Wednesday but I doubt the music (or indeed the film) will be as memorable as this.
