I recently had the pleasure of visiting the National Trust Estate, Cragside in Northumberland. It was an amazing property and grounds; although we only visited for a few hours I managed to take a few landscape photographs.
Whilst there, the boys participated in some Halloween activities in the Young Engineer's Zone, we had tons of fun playing in the leaves and went for a short drive to the play area. The estate is over 1000 acres and you could certainly spend 2 or 3 days just exploring the grounds. I would love to visit again and take some more pictures, but here are a few I did manage to take. Let me know what you think in the comments.

Whilst away recently we visited the Beamish open air museum in County Durham. The town tells of life in the North East of England in the late 1800's and early 1900's particularly focusing on the 1940's. I was impressed by the sheer size of Beamish and the different areas to visit including the farm, town, railway station and fairground You can travel around Beamish by walking, tram or bus; any of these methods allows you to take in the beautiful scenery. There are lots of events on throughout the year and you check out more information here: Beamish The sweet shop was very busy; a popular choice for adults and children. Here are a few pictures I managed to take during our visit: |
