With the release of the 'Justice League' film, I thought I would go with a superhero theme for this week's Movie Music Monday track. So I've chosen the iconic Superman Main Theme by John Williams. It's a classic movie theme and instantly recognisable.
The music for the original Superman film was composed and conducted by John Williams and performed by the London Symphony Orchestra. John Williams is a classic movie theme composer and I'm sure we'll be seeing some more of his tracks in the Movie Music Monday playlist in the future.
For many the 1970's and 1980's Superman films were classics and the theme music brings back those memories of running around the school playground with your coat buttoned around your neck to create a makeshift cape humming the theme tune. Check it out below.

Apart from biographies I haven’t read many books in my free time. I read journals, cases and legal updates every day, so my enthusiasm for further reading has been somewhat lacking. Then Ready Player One came along and WOW!
I was feeling an 80's vibe for this week's Movie Music Monday, so I've chosen Huey Lewis and the News with Power of Love. The track comes from the classic 80's film Back to the Future starring Michael J Fox.
The Power of Love was released in 1985; the music video shows the band playing in a nightclub with Dr. Emmett Brown showing up in his DeLorean, apparently after time-travelling, and a couple stealing it for a joy ride. The song is iconic and transports you back to the 80's. Check it out here:
