This week's Classical Music Mondays track is Canon in D Major by Pachelbel. It's an instantly recognisable piece, although it is not specifically tied to any particular TV show or film.
I find it very relaxing and the kind of music you can cook Sunday Dinner too. It has a very regal feel and can often be heard at weddings.
Let me know if you like the track and suggest your favourites in the comments.
Next week is half term in Telford and Shrewsbury, here are few ideas to keep you and your little ones busy. Whether it is watching a show or riding a toboggan there are lots of family friendly activities available in the local area.
This week's track is Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, which is a great piece it has highs, it has lows, it has cannons, what more could you want. The song is used in the film 'V for Vendetta', but the climatic finale has been used to accompany a number of battle scenes in popular films and TV.
The piece was written to commemorate Russia's defence of its motherland against Napoleon's invading Grande Armée in 1812. Check it out below
This weeks Classical Music Mondays track is Strauss' Also Sprach Zarathustra. Most people will know the track as the opening to the film 2001 A Space Odyssey.
This a short clip of the start of the track and I have also included the full track further down. The start of the track is iconic and impending but if you get chance give the full track a listen to hear some wonderful violins.
