Next week is half term in Telford and Shrewsbury, here are few ideas to keep you and your little ones busy. Whether it is watching a show or riding a toboggan there are lots of family friendly activities available in the local area. Telford Snowboard and Ski Centre We have tried the slopes at the Chill Factore in Manchester, but have never visited our local slopes. The Telford Snowboard and Ski Centre is offering kids activities for £1 with a Telford Loyalty Card. Monday to Friday there are Tots Doughnuts for 3-5 years between 1-1.30pm & 1.30-2pm and Tobogganing for 5-10 years between 2.30-4pm. Also between 4-5pm there is Family Adrenaline Tubing for children over 8 years old and adults. Prices range from £6.30 - £3.20 depending on age and whether you have a TLC Card. If you do decide to visit then it’s a good idea for children to have their arms and legs covered and gloves are essential. Telford Snowboard and Ski Centre Flight Activities at Blists Hill Victorian Town We had an annual pass last year for the Ironbridge Museums and it was fantastic for the school holidays. This half-term at Blists Hill they are putting on a Falconry display every day at 12.30pm with an opportunity to ‘Meet the Birds’ daily from 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm. There will be a varied selection of different birds each day such as Eagles, Hawks, Falcons & Owls. They are also offering an activity to design and make your own kite in their workshops, every day from 11am-1pm to be flown on the Green each day at 1.30pm. The Kite making workshop is £1 extra per person. Blists Hill Victorian Town offer Non-Gift Aid Tickets for Adults for £16.25 and Children for £10.75. Children under 5 are free. Flight Activities at Blists Hill Victorian Town Flight Week at Enginuity Our boys love visiting Enginuty, T can spend 20 minutes just playing with the water cycle display. This half-term they are carrying on the flight theme of the Ironbridge Museums by offering several activities. This half-term they are letting you take the controls of their Flight Simulator activity, every day, from 10am - 4pm. You can also make a paper aeroplane and see if you can beat the world record for the longest flight. There is a rocket workshop from 10.30am-3.45pm daily and each rocket is £1 extra per person. Between the 20th – 24th February you can visit their FabLab and make your very own glider. This workshop will run 10.30am-3.45pm and costs £1 extra per person. Enginuity offer Non-Gift Aid Tickets for Adults for £8.85 and for Children for £6.95. Children under 5 are free. Flight Week at Enginuity Half Term Welly Walks at Weston Park Between 23rd to 25th February Weston Park are offering a Welly Walk. The focus of the walk is to discover more about trees. You will follow an activity trail to teach children about the importance of trees, along with taking part in activities like tree-dressing and photo competitions. Also in the afternoon there are themed craft activities in the STUFF activity room. The Ticket Prices are £7.00 for children and £3.00 for adults. Children under 3 go free. Weston Park recommend pre-booking tickets. Half Term Welly Walks at Weston Park Jack Frost – Oakengates Theatre On Saturday 25th February 2017 at 3:00 pm you can watch ‘Jack Frost’ at The Place, Oakengates Theatre, Telford. A relaxed performance is also available at 1:00 pm. This production brings Jack Frost to life through puppetry, music and storytelling. The performance is aimed at children 3 and over. The list goes on and on and we can find something new that will make us all busy in this month. There are plenty of games and programs that we can create and it will be more fun with our family. A month that will be filled with new memories and a journey that is destined for us. We must keep on believing to the beauty of life,
