It’s that time of year again, Summer is over and the Christmas season is upon us.
You may be asking yourself, which are the biggest toys for Christmas 2016? Here are my predictions of the top Toys for Boys (and girls) for Christmas 2016: Lego, Star Wars, Paw Patrol, Nerf and Blaze and the Monster Machines. If previous years are to go by then get shopping now, as by the end of November they’ll be on eBay for double the RRP! Lego A regular candidate for any top toy list. Lego has the versatility, the range and the licences to ensure it will be on many kids or even grown-ups wish lists this Christmas. Whether it’s the annual Lego advent calendar or Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum, I am sure there’ll be families deeply studying instructions hoping to complete their next ‘build’ on Christmas Day. In fact, I remember spending the majority of my 1990 Christmas building the Lego Train Set.
Star Wars
Still flying high on the release of the Force Awakens and with the impending release of Rogue One, the Star Wars franchise is a big contender in the Toy Wars. With a new film comes new lines of toys. The link between Lego and Star Wars means a new Death Star, together with some new sets from the new film. It’s not just Lego there is also a ton of new figures and vehicles so that you re-create your favourite scenes at home including a new AT-AT.
Paw Patrol
Paw Patrol was a popular choice for Christmas 2015, and 2016 doesn’t look like being any different. The Paw Patroller was selling for double it’s RRP and more on eBay prior to Christmas 2015. This year the Paw Patrol Air Controller or Lookout Tower are likely to be out of stock come early December, so make sure you buy early to avoid disappointment.
Nerf
Like Lego this is a regular brand at the top any toy list. Nerf has a fantastic range from small blasters to extreme water guns. It is difficult to single out one Nerf product as there are literally hundreds, but if I did it would have to be the Nerf N-Strike Elite HyperFire Blaster. It fires 5 darts per second! Certainly a great addition to any arsenal in a Nerf war
Blaze and the Monster Machines
Blaze and the Monster Machines has rose to prominence this year. My boys both love the series on Nick Jr and I like the integration of Science and Maths in to the show. The main character is Blaze with his driver AJ. They try to win a race usually against Crusher who is a big fat cheater! It’s a great show and the toy range includes individual characters and some tracks similar to the Hot Wheels sets.
Those are my toy top tips for Christmas 2016, let us know in the comments any items you think we might have missed. Also if you see any deals, bargains or offers get in touch so we can share. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

This was a handy post to read - and thanks for the heads up on the Paw Patroller! My little man has his 4th birthday the week before Christmas so it's a pricey old time for us - but also difficult trying to find stuff in stock. I'll get looking soon I think! #justanotherlinky
